Florence

Florence is located in central Italy in the Arno River and is one of the richest centers of Renaissance art in the world. It is called the “City of Flowers.”

The Ponte Vecchio, dating back to 1345, is lined with interesting shops and connects the two parts of the city and the two famous art galleries, Uffizi Palace and Pitti Palace. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, dating back to the thirteenth century, is also located in Florence, as is the baptistery, famous for its bronze doors called the Gates of Paradise.
