Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum on the north side of El Tahrir Square houses the world’s most complete collection of Egyptian antiquities. The museum was built in the form of a rectangle in 1902. If a visitor turns directly to the left after entering the museum and makes the complete tour of the rectangle, while also inspecting the side rooms of the main galleries, he will follow in chronological order the history of Egypt.
